A recent ” The Economist ” article (Well Travelled, 13th February 2021) reviews how health status of travellers may be monitored as we deal with COVID-19. The article describes how good the air is in airplanes, and explains that today’s travellers are more concerned about regulations / testing / quarantine issues on arrival, and less so about the safety of actually flying. It goes on to describe a variety of efforts underway to develop a digital vaccine passport. “Such technologies will become common, reckons the world’s biggest travel-security firm, International SOS”.
